Carnival Conquest -Leaving New Orleans

Celebrating our Anniversary on a 7 day cruise on the Carnival Conquest- Day 1-August 18,2013
The one thing that you can't avoid is checking in. Just get through it and the fun begins!
We waste no time in testing the food. We went straight for the Blue Iguana Cantina.
Straight to order anyway you want. Chicken, Beef or Fish with all the toppings!
Oh those were the best tacos and burritos EVER!

After grabbing a bite and doing a little deck dancing aka an attempt of the
Electric Slide with Matt, our assistant cruise director, we did a little tour of the ship and caught the sunset on the Mississippi River.

If you haven't left from New Orleans, it takes about 8 hours to get down the Mississippi River into the Gulf. That is your whole first night.

If you get sea sick then this is the night to take something. There are some sharp turns and the ship is big.

Time to check out our room and freshen up for dinner. That's right, time to eat AGAIN! Look what I found! I love these little guys. Also, we took some time to look through our Fun Times to see what's happening. I will post those later.

No doubt that I live with a little boy

Every day I am reminded by the little things that I live with a little boy. Sure, I see him and I hear him but he is very different from having a little girl in the house. For instance, I call the little room in the hallway a guest bathroom. He sees it as a science lab and that surprises me sometimes even though I should know better since he is my 3rd son.
"Mom, crystals have to have water. They were too big for the jar"
That still doesn't explain the open glue bottle.....

Day 11- A picture of something you hate.

There's a lot of things I don't like or even care for but the one thing that I hate has already made it's appearance this year.

Being a red head and having fair skin has made it difficult for me to have fun for a long period (more than 20 minutes) in the sun without protection.
So the one thing I hate is a sunburn!

Day 10- A picture of the person you do the most screwed up things with

I'm going to change this one up a little because I haven't done much on the screwed up side for a while now so I would like to add a picture of someone I could see me getting into a bit of trouble with.

Sorry Erica but I have to pick you. This might involve mics at girls' camp *sneaky giggle*.

Day 9- A picture of the person who has gotten you through the most

Who could recognize my voice even though I try to speak through my tears that are flowing like a rushing river? The person who has gotten me though the most of course.
My Mom

Day 08 - A picture that makes you laugh

It's not so much the picture but the moment.

Place-A hat shop in the French Market in the French Quarters in New Orleans. Person-My oldest daughter trying on and posing with every single hat. We laughed so much that day!

Day 07 - A picture of your most treasured item

When I think of a treasured item I think of something I care about the most and will protect against anything. The first thing that comes to my mind is my family. My caring husband, two beautiful daughters and three handsome sons.  Yes there is one missing in this picture because I love him so much that I shared him for two years with the wonderful people in Curitiba Brazil.
